Our Approach

Research

To enhance Synthesis, we immersed ourselves in user research, dissecting pain points and expectations. We gathered both qualitative and quantitative data via surveys, interviews, and user feedback analysis. Our exploration spanned Competitive Analysis, surveys for statistical insights, and the creation of user personas with detailed Journey Mapping. This condensed yet comprehensive research serves as our guide, steering Synthesis toward a more refined and intuitive user experience.

Design

Grounded in our research, we diligently followed an iterative design approach, shaping wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to cater specifically to identified user needs. The most substantial challenge in this phase lay in crafting a streamlined layout that seamlessly incorporates all requisite features. Striking the delicate equilibrium between simplicity and comprehensive functionality required a nuanced design strategy.

Enhanced Document Editing

Our redesign resulted in a document editor that surpassed its predecessor in both cleanliness and intuitiveness. This upgraded version excels, offering a markedly superior user experience. Notably, it strategically emphasizes reusability, recognizing the commonalities found in financial documents. The outcome is a document editor that not only outshines the initial version but sets a new standard for efficiency and user satisfaction.

Optimizing Space with Expandable UI

The integration of expandable UI elements proved instrumental in conserving valuable vertical space. This strategic implementation not only allowed for the inclusion of additional elements in the UI but also ensured a clutter-free and unobtrusive visual presentation. The result is a more expansive and feature-rich user interface that maintains a clean and balanced aesthetic without appearing saturated.

Evaluation

To gauge the effectiveness of our prototype, we conducted remote testing involving 24 participants. This critical phase was dedicated to collecting quantitative insights into the user experience, providing a comprehensive evaluation of design efficiency and user-friendliness. The invaluable feedback received during this process played a pivotal role in refining and shaping a more user-centric experience, ensuring that our design aligns seamlessly with user expectations and preferences.
